      Flicker #31

Hello again, and welcome to another edition of Flicker. Hope you're ready for that day of horror coming up (no, not Election Day, Halloween) and primed for the bone chillers in the lineup tonight.

We're all over the map in terms of content tonight, with animation, narrative, a music video, and that special sort of magic that can only come from the mind of a junior high kid. I'm also very excited to present the first Flicker Hat Trick film, made by Mike Caston. You'll remember he was the lucky guy who picked a subject for a film out of a hat last time, then took home a camera & roll of film and made it happen. We'll be drawing another lucky person to do the same tonight, so be sure to put your name and movie ideas in the hats at the merch table.

Speaking of movie ideas, here's a small sample from the idea hat that didn't get picked last time. It's a shame to let them go to waste, so feel free to use one as the basis of a film--and then show it at Flicker!

The devil is homeless - Erica suddenly disappeared - Awkward silences - Surreal midget/pirate kidnapping - It might as well be Durham! - Interview 4 people about the strangest dream they have had, then attempt to make a film of these short plots - Mole people. Nameless dread. - Saved by the sweater - A bicyclist with road rage - Tae kwon do Christmas

Hey, if you make it, we'll come,
