Flicker #13
Welcome to our first big show of 1997, and happy Birthday to MLK Jr. This is a special Monday screening, things get crazy sometimes and so we have to move these dates around. Frank from our beloved new home, has been super great about scheduling, and hopefully we'll be back to our traditional Thursday night Flicker for #14 - in March.
Thanks to our friends at catalogue.com for their Flicker Web Page maintenance. Mary and Chuck do a wonderful job, and thanks to the WWW, the word is out, and it is indeed Super! Reed O'Beirne, the Reagan Revolution, sent us his film all the way from Seattle. Lately, I've gotten email from people interested in submitting their Super 8 films from Brazil, Austrailia, and the Nederlands. Some day soon, I would love to broadcast Flicker over the Internet. So many plans, so many things.
At Flicker #12, the fourth $100
Flicker Film Grant was given to Matt Schofield. Hopefully his Super 8 film
will be ready for Flicker #14 in March. Tonight we'll be giving away the
fifth grant to a deserving young filmmaker. If you would like to be considered
for the next Flicker Film Grant, send your proposal to:
